2026 MIDI Innovation Awards

We’re pleased to announce that MidiStickers Pro has been selected for the 2026 MIDI Innovation Awards in the Non-Commercial / Prototype category, intended for independent developers and smaller startups that haven’t yet achived the minimum profit threshold for the Commercial category.

This is particularly meaningful to us because MidiStickers Pro is an independent project, developed with the goal of exploring new ways of using MIDI technology for formal music education. MidiStickers grew out of a very practical problem we encountered while teaching counterpoint, harmony, music analysis, figured bass, partimento, and jazz harmony: there were surprisingly few tools that could turn what happens at the MIDI keyboard into meaningful, immediate visual information during a lesson.

Being part of the MIDI Innovation Awards is an opportunity to have that work recognized by the wider MIDI community, and to put MidiStickers in front of people who are interested in using MIDI technology in music education.

So, if you’d like to support MidiStickers Pro, we would greatly appreciate your vote:

The ballot requires three entries, so while you’re there, we encourage you to explore some of the other projects as well. There are some really interesting ideas being presented this year - we particularly especially enjoyed Sleight and Trencadís App!

Thank you for supporting MidiStickers and independent software development.
